As the sole designer, it is Joy Han’s vision that steers Voom's innovative, whimsical, and explosive style season after season. Joy fuses vintage with modern looks creating a new genre of fashion called “twisted vintage”.

Voom has been featured in Lucky, Glamour, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, People, In Touch, as well as many international magazines. Joy has also dressed many celebrities including Jessica Alba, Eva Longoria, Lana Del Rey, Kim Kardashian, Emmy Rossum, Selena Gomez, Jessica Simpson, Miley Cyrus, and Paris Hilton, who chose Voom to look original on red carpets and special events.

In the summer of 2007, Joy launched Vava by Joy Han, a sister line to Voom. Joy’s vision of classic femininity with an edge remains strong within the new line as Vava introduces fun and classic styles reminiscent of Voom. Vava is known for fun detailed trims and embellishments. Vava mixes high quality fabrics with bright intricate embroidery, beading, lace, fringe and other fun accessories.

To round out the “Voom” empire, a chic and affordable knitwear collection was introduced in the Fall of 2010 – “James & Joy”. James & Joy (the name showcasing the partnership between Joy and her husband, and Voom CEO James Kim) is proof that quality of merchandise does not have to be sacrificed when offering lower prices. The combination of unique shapes, perfect fit, uncompromised fabrication, and friendly prices keep James & Joy buyers coming back for more.

With the escalating success of her three lines, Joy makes her goals very clear when she states that as a designer she feels ’the responsibility to create styles that’ll make a woman feel young, beautiful and confident without being a trend that you can wear for only one season. I want to create new classic pieces that look trendy without being the “IT” trend, so they can wear it any season, year after year”.
